Congrats!!! I am currently expecting #2 and have seen Dr. Greene at Contemporary Obstetrics in Rochester (directly across from Crittenton Hospital at Walton and Livernois) for almost 10 years. I was actually just there for a check-up today! He is a wonderful doctor and did an exceptional job with our first birth. I never feel rushed as he definitely takes the time to sit and talk with you. I've recommended him to a few friends who have also been very pleased. It's definitely worth checking out especially since you're in the area. The practice also has 5 or 6 other obgyns who you'd also meet through out the pregnancy. They are all pretty good, but Dr. Greene is my favorite. Office phone is ###-###-####. If they ask who referred you, you're welcomed to share my name Sara Kuzma. Good luck to you!! :o)

I see Dr. Carol Condevaux and Dr. Thomas Wolfe.
They deliver out of Beaumont (Troy and Royal Oak).
They are great doctors. I love them both.

They both have a great bed side manner (maybe Dr. C a little more). And they take time to answer any questions you have. I've never felt rushed or overlooked there.

Dr. C delivered my first daughter and she couldn't have made it a better experience. I am hoping she delivers my second daughter any day.

They are located in the Beaumont Medical Building on Rochester Road (Between Orion Rd. and Teinken).

I have to agree with the posts recommending Contemporary OB/GYN. I see Dr. Blake at the Washington office, but while at Crittenton, I was visited by the other OB/GYN's in their practice....Dr Greene was another favorite of mine. I think very highly of several from their practice.

Generations OB-GYN has two locations but the closest for you would most likely be their Birmingham office. Worth driving to for appointments. They have several doctors and all of them are great but my personal fave is Dr. Mark Dykowski. He truly makes you feel completely at ease and like an old family friend. Always took the time to listen to any concerns or questions we had. Very gentle nature. I've been a patient there for over 10 years and Generations docs delivered both of my children. Congratulations to you and good luck!

Oakland-Macomb OBGYN located in Rochester Hills! They are located on South Blvd. & Dequindre (WellPointe Medical Building) and deliver out of Troy Beaumont.

They have about 7 doctors and 3 midwives. I see the midwives. They delivered my first child and will be delivering my next baby in April. I like all of the doctors, LOVE the midwives, and I'm very pleased with the entire office staff.

Hi,

I realize you are seeking the Rochester area, but this doctor also works out of Beaumont - either Royal Oak or Troy and I found her to be amazing for my son and I when I was expecting. I didn't care for the other group of doc's as they had religious music playing in the waiting room... it made me uncomfortable and I also didn't like the way I was treated when I miscarried. So, I went with my gut and left them!

I see Dr. Nancy Afr. She is in Troy. I can look up her number, but she was great and the staff was wonderful too~ all that was important to me as I am a first-time mom and that was a first-time full pregnancy. I also had my son early, so everyone was very helpful. I know some moms have had a negative experience at RO Beaumont, however with my son being premature, I could not have been more pleased with the care we both received. (Only one nurse in the night shift before my son was born was a bit snotty, but I wasn't going to let one nurse ruin my experience.)

In addition to the Beaumont Hospital and doctors... they offer the option to join a 'parent group' which is awesome for first time moms. It helps you get out with others in the same situation, you can have play dates and if you're lucky, the group can remain close for years. (I was not so lucky as our group didn't work out for us, especially as I had a bad autoimmune disorder hit me after my son was born.)

We even had the public nurse pop in our home to help with assessments for the first year on a monthly basis. It was really a great experience! :)

The only negative was I wish I had a doula with me to help me with my migraine I had when I was induced - I think it would have helped much more with the pains in my head and also my hips from the bed. (Or at least my old massage instructor to help with rubbing my feet so I could have avoided a c-section! LOL~)

Best of luck and congratulations on your baby! Get ready for a beautiful new life together! :)

Hi D.,

I would like to refer you to Dr. Kwaiser. He is inside Troy Beaumont Hospital. He is an amazing Dr. I have seen him for approx. 5yrs. and won't go to anyone else. I have also referred a couple of friends and my cousin who is due this March. She has seen him since she became pregnant and loves him as well. He did a hysterectomy on my in Sept. and I could have not asked for better care. My cousin who is due with baby no.1 feels the same way. I will say though, I really don't care for the other Dr.s in his office though, but that is my opinion. My cousin has seen the others, just because of rotation when you are pregnant, but she requested after that to see no one except for Dr. Kwaiser. He is very personally, gently, caring, he explains everything in detail, patient etc.. Here is his phone number. ###-###-####. If you have any other questions please email me. ____@____.com

Good Luck,
S.

Hi and congratulations! I am also sort of new to the Rochester Hills area and have found a wonderful OBGYN. Doctor's name is Amy Wright and her practice is located in the Crittendon Medical Building on North Squirrell Road, 2351 N. Squirrell Road, Suite 305, Rochester Hills. Their number is ###-###-####. I am really impressed with the level of professionalism and service and care that I receive there. I recently had an endometrial ablasion performed by Dr. Wright and I'm just really impressed. The office is basically kiddie-korner from Oakland University.

Dr Lorenz is a fabulous DR. She does not have a good bed side manner (She is kinda like Sandra Oh's character from Greys anatomy) She is very direct and professional and has preformed many miracles in the operating room. She was featured in HOUR detroit as a top DR in the metro detroit area. She has delivered my 2 boys and will do my third this july. She is very causious and and thourough. She is located at livernois and University. If you want her # email me privately.

Yes Dr.Nehra ia amazing!!!! AS stated below. Dr. lorenz started there with him and Dr Greene and Goulding all good Drs. He is kinda like the Guru for all of them. Downside...I heard he doesnt deliver anymore....:(

Hi D. -

Welcome to the US! I absolutely LOVE my ob/gyn. He is in Lake Orion and delivers at St.Joe's in Pontiac. I had a back injury that didn't heal right prior to my last pregnancy and he got me through pre-natal care, labor and delivery with flying colors. He remembers who you are, can answer questions without looking at your chart, is VERY compassionate and patient. I am very happy with his whole staff. His office is located off Lapeer Road just south of Clarkston Rd. It's really not that far from you. Give them a call and I'm sure he'd be happy to do an interview with you as well so you can decide yourself if he's right for you. Women's Healthcare Associates, P.L.L.C., 1240 S Lapeer Rd Ste 100, Lake Orion, MI 48360, ###-###-####

Congratulations on your new addition!

I went through my first pregnancy with Paint Creek OBGYN, Dr.s Wolf and Condeavaux. They are located on Rochester Rd. north of Tinken. I delivered out of Troy Beaumont and had a great experience at that hospital. I'm currently pregnant with our second child and have returned to the same OB office. Ph. ####-###-#### If I recall correctly I was able to find info on the Dr.s on the internet before I started seeing them. Best Wishes! and Congratulations!

There are a bunch of wonderful midwives in the area if you're considering that route too. Go to http://www.michiganmidwives.org for the Michigan Midwives Association. Also check out www.birthnetwork.org. There are monthly meetings held not too far from you where you can learn all about your choices in childbirth! Not strictly "natural birth" related, either!
Congratulations and good luck!

I live in Rochester but my ob is in Troy (next to Somerset Collection Mall/16 mile and Coolidge Road)and I love her! There are 5 or 6 (two females, 3 males) doctors that deliver out of R.Oak Beaumont. They truly are wonderful and caring doctors. My two favorites are Dr. Weiremiller (female) and Dr. Long (male). Both of these two doctors delivered both of my children. I know in the last year they hired a nurse practitioner as well. The name of the group is Somerset Obstetrics and Gyno. Phone number ###-###-####. From my experience working with other doctors, a number of them say Dr. Long is such a brilliant doctor they would trust him with their life. I hope you are able to find a doctor in the area you like and feel comfortale with. Congratulations with your new addition to your family!
