congrats! I just had my first child 6 months ago.I delivered at Bryn Mawr Hospital. My practice is Bryn Mawr Women's Health. It's a group of 5 or 6 women and 1 NP. I have seen each of the OB's there and they are all great. They have 2 offices, one in Rosemont (right near the hospital) and one in Newtown Square. ###-###-####. Dr. Abder delivered my son, she was amazing. Good luck.

I am not a new mom, but i can tell you that Bryn Mawr Hospital is wonderful. Dr. Joesph Castelli is an amazing ob that i have referred to my best friend and sister. They love him. Best of luck to you.

Just a correction to the responses to those that recommended Russino & Chasteney at Paoli--the group has 3 men & 1 woman. Two of the women in the group recently left (Bussard & Kambin).

Paoli Hospital is great. I had both of my kids there, most recently in April. The nurses are great and the hospital is very nice. There are labor delivery post-partum rooms so you do not have to change rooms after you have the baby. The group that I use is Russino & Chasteney, 3 men & 3 women.

Riddle OB/Gyn has some great doctors..I see Dr. Tirado but Dr's Serrini (sp??) and Karoki are good too. Their offices are in the outpatient bldg behind Riddle Hospital. I delivered both my children there (1 was 6 weeks early) and it was very good..nurses were great too. I know alot of people who have used these dr's and hospital all have been very happy. Congrats and good luck!

I live in Media, too, and I love it here! I hope you are settling in well. While you asked about doctors and hospitals, I can't say enough wonderful things about the Birth Center in Bryn Mawr -- they have seven midwives and consult with Dr. Castelli at Bryn Mawr Hospital (who someone else already recommended). I was a patient there for my daughter, but because I ultimately needed to be induced, I had her at Bryn Mawr Hospital rather than the birth center. But I had a great experience throughout and _especially_ after my daughter was born with breastfeeding and new mother support. A year after Julia's birth, I still get together every week with the moms from my Birth Center support group. I think these supports are not common in most OB/GYN practices, and it's what has kept me sane as a new mom.

Good luck!

I had a great experience at the Bryn Mawr Birth Center and now there is a brand new building. The old one was nice too, just not as big. The Mid-wives are great and the hospital is right across the street if you should need it.
Best of everything to you A..

I don't know how far it would be for you, but I LOVED giving birth at Paoli Memorial Hospital a year ago. Private rooms, wonderful staff - it was a great experience! If it's within a reasonable distance you should check it out. My OB/GYN is Dr. Anthopoulis (I think that's how you spell it) and he is great. There are also several other fantastic OBs in the same practice. They are in a medical office building adjacent to the hospital.
Good luck!
