Not Feeling Baby Move Very Much at 19 1/2 Weeks?

This is my 2nd pregnancy, but I'm having a hard time remembering what the "normal range" is for feeling fetal movement. Over the last couple weeks (starting at 18 weeks), I have felt the baby move twice. There have been a few other times where I haven't known if it was the baby or just my own body. Just wondering when most women start feeling the baby move on a more consistent basis? Funny how soon you forget these things!

What can I do next?

Hi E.,
With my first, I felt movement right at 20 weeks. For a few weeks after that, the flutters were few and far between. But after some time, they got stronger and were more noticeable. I wouldn't worry about anything - they'll come!

My son moved at 17 weeks but i didn't feel it all the time until i was about 22 week. i think they say you shouldnt be concerned about lack of movement until you are past 7 months. i took note of when i was feeling him move and then i could anticipate when his move around time was. congratulations!

With my first two, I felt them fairly early. With my current pregnancy, I didn't feel much of anything until closer to 25 weeks. Even now, at 31 weeks, this baby is not NEARLY as active as my other 2.

I have a 9yr old and an 11yr old and Currently I am 24 weeks pregnant so this is a big gap between this one and my youngest. I felt him first move around 19 weeks not too strong though just flutters but when I turned 23 weeks up to this point he moves and is strong enough to poke out and push his feet into my ribs, so soon your baby will have strong enough bones that it will be fun to start, then it hurts when he realizes how much room he has and can even feel you when you poke him back. So don't get discouraged, once you get to the halfway point your baby will get to his/her most active stage til they grow to the point they have little room to move......have fun!!!!

I'm pregnant with my first and I felt the first kicks around 18 weeks. A few flutters and light movement before that, but 18 is when i really knew it was the baby. However, after @ 2 weeks of light kicking, it dropped off for a few weeks and i really didnt start feeling it again good & consistent until 22 or so weeks. I don't think you have anything to worry about, should be any week now! How fun ;-) Hope you have a safe & healthy pregnancy!

it is okay,, some babies will move early and some will come later. but normally babies start to move around 22 weeks
if you don't feel anything by 27 weeks go in and get checked out.. but honestly as a mother if your really concerned go in to your ob.. a mother's instinct is normally always right. but i'm sure nothing is wrong, my friend didn't feel her baby at all during her pregnancy at her little girl is now 6

I am due a week after you (with #3), and I haven't been feeling much yet either. A few little ones here and there, but like you, I am like "Is that the baby or something else?". I am expecting it to pick up soon. Good luck!

I couldn't feel my first baby move at 20 wks. like they told me I would, but with my second it was totally different. You know, it's just so different each time.
