I am 38 yrs old, I just moved to Fishers, IN. I am looking for a GYN/OB. I have seen my gyn back home annually. Time for a new appt and new MD. Possibly a female this go round, but no preference. I have been trying to get pregnant for the past 7 months. History of precancerous cells, I do have a cyst that has gotten much larger in the past year. Yes, I can feel it. My MD didn't want to do anything about it. Very very painful during my cycles. My old MD wanted me to have an hysterectoy in 2001 for preventative reasons and I said no, because I knew I wanted more children. He also said that I shouldn't have any problems. However, on both my previous children it took less than 3 months to get pregnant. Looking for a Great MD to see ASAP.

What can I do next?

I went to the best group of GYN/OB doctors. They are located in Carmel St. Vincences and in Fishers. If you call the Carmel OB/GYN office they will set you up with an appoinment in the Carmel office or the Fishers office.

I think that you should probably see a fertility specialist. Dr. Michael Henry is great in both his skills and you will love him and his staff. I work in infertility and highly recommend him. I would suggest Dr Adams or Ertel at Castleton OB/GYN, but they do not do infertility. They would send you onto Dr Henry. Best wishes! His number is ###-###-####. He is at I465 and North Meridian at Methodist Medical Plaza North. Hey, really great information at www.reproductiveindiana.com

My doctor is David Kiley located at Community North campus, his phone # is ###-###-####. He did my total abdominal hysterosalpingoophorectomy (I am totally gutted) and it went great. He has also delivered my grandson 5 months ago and is both of my daughters OB/GYN. He is very caring. I recommend him highly.

There is also a Dr. McLaughlin in Noblesville at www.familyjoy.com (I think), he is very highly respected for Fertility issues but he does not accept insurance.

Good Luck, Deb

I would very highly recommend Dr. Chelsey Rasmussen. Especially if you would like a female doctor. She used to be a part of Dr. Kiley's practice (I saw someone else recommended Dr. Kiley) Now she has gone on her own. She is still a part of the Community North Campus. She is a wonderful doctor, has impeccable bed side manner. She has had difficulty getting pregnant herself and after trying numerous options decided adopting was the right option for them. So she would know what routes to take towards any extra care needed. She also takes extra precautions with high risk pregnancies. She would put you in this category because of your age & condition (she did for me as well, I'm 36). I was fortunate to have an uneventful pregnancy, but several of my friends have had multiple "challenges" and she has been great with them.

I can't say enough good things about her and her staff. I worked with her husband, I know them personally and professionally. She delivered my first baby in February. Most my friends now go to her and she will definitely deliver my future babies.

Dr. Chelsey Rasmussen ###-###-#### Hope this helps.

You know you might consider setting up a couple prescreening interviews. We shop around for everything else in life. What is more important then delivering our babies. You might check a couple recommendations our and see who you feel the most comfortable with. They get that all the time. And you would have piece-of-mind.

I see Dr. Evelyn White at Clarion North Medical Center at the Women's Health Alliance. She is amazing. The office is at 116th and Meridian. Not Fishers, Carmel... but worth the short drive.

I really like the Brillhart Group. There is an office at Community North and one in Fishers or Anderson, I forget - Fishers I think. Guess it depends on your insurance, but I would definately look in to them. I really like Dr. Indy Lane.

I highly recommend Dr. Sonja Voelkel at Clearvista Womens Care on the Community Hospital North Campus. You can reach them at ###-###-####. It's very convienent, off of I-69 and 82nd Street. She is wonderful, her office staff is great, and I just love the whole practice. I had a very, very complicated pregnancy last time, and have first hand experience with every doctor in the practice. They are all wonderful and I would recommend any of them. I have been seeing Dr. Voelkel for about 10 years. I also have a history of precancerous cells, and have had 2 LEEP procedures done.

Welcome to the area! You'll love it in Fishers!

As far as an M.D. goes, I see Dr. Leanne Nazer 577- 2779, her practice is located off of 96th and Lantern Rd. She is great as well.

I also second the Brillhart group! They have an office at Community North and they also have an office at the Community Health Pavillion on Olio Rd. Dr. Brillhart was my doctor for my pregnancy with my daughter and now through my current pregnancy. He is very nice and a very caring doctor. The entire staff at his office (I go to the hospital office) is very friendly and willing to help with anything you need!
I know that he does do some fertility testing and treatment, but I honestly don't know the extent of it. The hospital office number is ###-###-####, I'm sure they can give the Olio Rd # if you need it!

Dr. Lynn Klus with Women's Health Partnership--St. Vincents. She helped me with fertility issues after 2 miscarriages and I was pregnant in less than 4 mo. and have a beautiful baby girl. I couldn't begin to tell you what's wonderful about her or I'd write a book! Their number is ###-###-####. Good luck.
