Hello moms, my daughter is turning one tomorrowand she is cutting all her teeth at the same time, literaly she is getting like six teeth, she as already cut one of her molers and now she is getting another one, plus five other teeth. She already has 7 teeth completly through, I have never seen a baby cut all their teeth at once. She is getting a new tooth almost every week it seems like, she is so miserable. Any ideas on how to help with the pain, I give her tylenol, and the baby orijel, but is there anything else? I don't think the orijel work very well she just licks it of my finger when I try to put it in her mouth.

My mom used to give my little sister metal spoons that she kept in a glass of water in the fridge.

I knew a child who cut 4 teeth overnight... ouch!

Hylands teething tablets work pretty well. Also, try giving her an all fruit popsicle. It numbs their little mouths.

You can buy q-tips that have a numbing liquid in them. I can't remember who makes them. They come in a blue plastic case and they work very well. Me and many of my friends swear by them.

We went through the same thing with my first son. We would let him have unopened freezee pops and ice water in a sippy cup. Just remember, it will all be over faster this way.

I've seen teething tablets work wonders on my 9 month old nephew. But the thing that worked best for my girls was wetting down a washcloth and putting it in the freezer. Don't let it freeze all the way, or that could hurt when they bite on it. Just so it's cold enough to soothe and aching mouth.

They sell these little mesh feeder bags with a round handle near the bottles at walmart and other stores. Put a bib on her and put an ice cube in the feeder bag - wet it so she doesn't stick to the ice and give it to her. You can also cut a piece of apple and put it in, but that gets messy. My baby still gets an ice cube occasionally. She has a full set of teeth except her 2 yr molars. She loves the ice. Good luck.

Hi B.,

One of my children cut 7 teeth at once. She was miserable, and was waking up frquently throughout the night, and then after about a week, 7 teeth came in. Those molars are awful to come in! We just did the same things you are doing. The good news is that most of her teething will be done with after this. I know I didn't have much in terms of additional advice, but I hope it helps to know you're not the only one. Good luck with this!

Cold and icy things, even a washcloth from the freezer, sometimes help. The good thing is you'll get so much of the teething pain out of the way all at once! Sounds like you're doing the right things. This too shall pass!

Having you tried teething tablets? We found these to work the best for my daughter when cutting teeth. Hylands is one brand as well as Little Tummys. YOu can find them at Babies R US, or most drugs stores.

I ordered a teething necklace for my daughter from this seller on ebay. Baltic Amber is a natural analgesic, inflamation and reddness reducer. It actually worked in about 2 hours. She was absolutely miserable and 2 hours after having it on she was happy and content. The oils absorb through their skin. It also has a breakaway clasp, and the string is made to break if caught on something. This person also knots the string in between each bead so that if it does break you do not have beads going everywhere. amberteething (251) and here is the link to one of his many necklaces http://stores.ebay.com/Baltic-Amber-baby-teething-necklace.

Ouch! Poor baby! My nephew cut several teeth at once. It's horrible when you're going through this much pain at once. My suggestion is to try the baby orajel with the breakable sticks because it's easier to apply where you need it. They look like a Q-tip and you break one end off releasing the medicine. They really work as my husband has used them for canker sores when it was all we had on hand. He now purchases the ones for adults when needed.

Teething tablets worked great for my daughter. She was my 4th and I wished I'd known about them with the first 3! I believe they are called Highland teething tablets. You can get them at Wal-mart for sure. The health food store also usually has them but they are very expensive there. They are in the pharmacy area. Good luck, I hope your little one get the rest of her teeth quickly!

I would recommend using an ibuprofen (motrin or advil) over tylenol. Tylenol is a pain reliever but ibuprofin is an anti-inflamatory. And since their gums get enflamed while they're teething, an anti-inflammatory will be more effective to soothe teething pains. My daughter went through the same thing last year, just before she turned one. There was an entire month where she only had 2 nights of uninnerupted sleep. But it's a phase and will pass :) Good luck! It does get better :)

My daughter was the same way! She cut 5 teeth in 3 days. It was horrible for me. She is a tough little trooper and never really complained. I kept her sippy cup filled with ice and water. The frozen washcloth worked well too. Being summer, juice pops or popcicles would be good too. Just remember it won't last forever! Good luck - I feel your pain!

Dr. Hyland's Teething Tablets. You can get them from just about anywhere. I buy ours from CVS. When my 2 1/2-year-old was three months, she started on them. And, my 5-month-old started on them about a month ago. Sometimes I give tylenol... when they seem completely miserable, but the doc says to make sure they don't have a temperature first. We try to stay away from Orajel because of the side effects and scary stories. Good luck. I hope you try the teething tablets. They're homeopathic, and I think you'll love them!

We alternated Motrin and Tylenol so that Aaron would have something for pain in his system all the time. Motrin lasts for 8 hours and is great for sleep. I also used teething tablets and orijel. Hang in there there is a light at the end of your tunnel if she is bringing them in this quick. J.

There's not much you can do besides offer some pain relief...but as the other moms said, at least you'll get it all done with at once! My youngest did the same thing...all his teeth came through together it seemed. It won't last forever...hang in there!
