Coach Gift... Any Suggestions

How about a baseball-themed Christmas ornament. They probably have one at Hobby Lobby. Gift cards for dinner, movies, spa, etc. are always great.

Get a card for all the kids to sign. And a gift card. You could also have the kids sign a baseball for her!

I would just see if there is a nice local restaurant that the coach likes and see if you can get a gift certificate for her.

Gift cards are always nice, you might see them as impersonable, but I love them it allows me to use it as I wish. I know it is the thought that counts but the jewelry that turns ya green, no thanks. A ton of candy to make me fat, again no thanks, how many cups/mugs can one person receive. Gloves and scarves are nice but again how many do you need. With a gift card She can get exactly what she wants/needs.

Gift cards to a restaurant are good as some coaches who have coached awhile have too many "trinkets" and picture frames. Most coaches are busy people and probably would appreciate a free meal out.

Yes - give a gift card. Don't give trinkets, candles, tchotkes (sp?), mugs, t-shirts, etc. Cutesy is not necessary here.

A nice card with a thank you message with a gift card to a restaurant would be fantastic and appreciated.

A note from Amanda and maybe a small gift card to coffee joint if he drinks coffee or sport good store. My hubby and I have coached many teams and our favorite things from the kids are a note from the child and a bag of peanut m&ms my favorite treat. Good Luck!

I suggest either a ball that all of the kids can sign or a team picture in a nice frame. You can get a matte and have the kids sign the matte with paint pens in the team colors. Both of these are great gifts that the coach will appreciate and treasure.

When my husband's office manager asked my opinion on a gift for my husband for the whole office to go in on I told her a great restaurant would be awesome. Most people love to eat out and in today's economy, tightening the belt and all, I think it's a thoughtful and useful gift. If you can figure out a place that she can have a nice dinner with her family or just her spouse I think that it would be appreciated.

Gift cards are always appreciated, especially when accompanied by a note of appreciation.

And while I'm not usually a fan of giving/receiving t-shirts, when I saw the words "Coach Amanda" it struck me as being so cute that I thought that a nice t-shirt, or coaching-style shirt (not sure what t-ball coaches wear) that says "Coach Amanda" might be a fun gift, and would encourage her to keep coaching.

I used to coach my duaghters soccer team - gift cards are the best. Got a few from dunkin donuts, book store, etc. The cute gifts show lots of thought but are generally not ever used.

Gift card and a nice note! My ex was a coach and the notes from kids were very special to him. And a gift card to a restaurant was a nice thank-you for coaching.

Not sure if you have time but what about a small signature frame where the kids sign and you take a team picture to put in later.

What about a really nice whistle? With her name engraved on it?

We took a lot of pictures during games and made a collage with a copy of the team photo in the middle and framed it. We presented at the team party after the season. He teared up so I know he liked it.

I'm with M R and several others. Coaches are amazingly busy people. Always on the go...a nice restaurant gift card would be appreciated!
Or a gift card to a sporting goods store---coaches are active people who make little, if any, money. She can go get herself some new work-out clothes, so gear at a sporting goods place.

A gift certificate to a nice restaurant or a day spa would be lovely. What a nice idea you had. Next year you could organize a group gift from all the families if you think that would be appropriate.
