I have two daughters- Stella Grace & Jolie Mackenzie

i'm having another baby (due July) for a boy we've picked out Deacon but for a girl we're stuck

We have a short list- Vivienne, Liliana, Hazel, Farrah, Elena, and Cecelia but I don't know if any of them is "the name"

WDYT? any of those names sound perfect
or any other names you can think of? :)

Thanks for any input!

Lovely names! I really like your name BTW. Out of the ones you've written, my vote goes to Cecelia. I love old- fashioned names. I also like Celeste, and the one we had chosen if we had a girl, Sylvie. You can have it if you like. We had three boys lol.

I don't really have any suggestions for you, but I wanted to let you know you are not alone. For my second daugher my husband and I had such a difficult time choosing a name. He had his heart set on Penelope (which I HATE, sorry!) and I just couldn't find a thing I even liked, let alone loved.

What made it so hard is how much we both LOVE our first daughters name (Madelyn Renee) we knew that was going to be her name, way before we knew she was a she. We finally decided on Amelia Leigh about a week and a half before Amelia was born, I'm still not sure that she fits her name, but we do love it, and it was the only thing we could agree on.

We knew her middle name would be Leigh after my cousin who passed away a few years ago.We both also loved Emma Leigh (so that when you say it fast it sounds like Emily) but Emma is just so common right now, that we didn't want to give it to her. Is there a family name you could use?

I love the name Farrah (but there was a girl on 16 and pregnant and then Teen Mom named that and my hubs said N-O) and Cecelia was on our short list. We didn't go with Cecelia (Cece) because we are both really big The Office fans and two of the characters just named their daughter Cecelia and when we mentioned it, a few different people were like "oh from the office?" and I didn't like explaining it.

I really like your baby name picks so far. Here are a few that your names remind me of:

Lucia (light)
Vienne / Vian (full of life)
Vira (Truth)
Aila (Strong like Oak)

I love Elena, it's such a dignified name, but also can be cute for younger kids (Ellie).

I like the name Liliana. Mainly because if I would have had another girl(just had baby boy) her name would have been Lilly Grace. I love your other girls names. What about combining two of the names together up there(that is if you dont' already have a middle name) Maybe like: vivienne Elena or Liliana Hazel. Are you looking for older names?

Our family is welcoming our 4th boy very soon, so again my girl name went out the window. Brianna Rose. My son just had a daughter but they have all their names picked out for enough children for a baseball team and decided on Riley Jean. So if you like Brianna Rose I will let you have it ( lol ) since I will never have one.

Congrats on your precious little angel.

I like Emma Nicole, Elena or Alena (my daughters middle name), Jillian or Lillian are also real nice. When making your choice please remember that this name should be something that can carry on into an adult professional life and that the name isn't so unique that it sets her or him apart. Good luck and congratulations!

I'm partial to Elena and Cecelia. With our first, we didn't know his gender until he was born, and had a boy and girl name ready; his "girl" name would have been Elena. It didn't seem right to use that name when his sister came along - she is Eva ("eh - va") Cecile (my mother's middle name is Cecile).

They all sound lovely, except personally for me, I would probably not go with Hazel (or Farrah for the 70's reference). Our Eva has a Vivian in her class, and a birthing class cohort for our son had a Hazel. Now in retrospect, I might have thought twice, given how popular both Eva and Ava (pronounced the same in our region) are in this generation, but in the end probably we would have stuck with Eva. I do love that as a girl's name - derived from Eve.

I love Vivienne, Elena, and I like Hazel but would love Hazelle (French). I think any of those three would go perfectly with your other daughters and you could even mix and match these three for some good first+middle combos.

Liliana is all right, I just find it a bit trendy and too many L's are a mouthful for me. Farrah is kind of dated. Cecelia is completely not my style and I dislike how it sounds, but I appreciate that it's a real name and it's a girl's name. :-) I also like that all of the names on your list are spelled correctly. You have really nice taste in names.

Hehehe... well you could use my middle name: Lucena

Your names seem to have the pop influence! hehehe...

I LOVE Liliana and Vivienne... Lillian is pretty too...

I think with all your names you should try pairing them with possible middle names... to *me* they are all great as first names, but would be nice with simpler middle names... maybe a certain name pairing will "jump out" at you and help you to find the name you love the most.

My name ideas:
Vivienne Ava _______
Liliana Beth ________

Good Luck!

Love the name Stella!!

I really like Hazel.

Our youngest daughter is Ruby....we get a lot of compliments on the name. It's the kind of name that people either love or hate. We of course love it. It's unique without being over the top crazy. Ava is our oldest...pretty common name these days.

I like Alaina better than Elena, and really just don't like hazel (sorry!), plus I bill for midwives and it's been really popular for some reason!
