I loathe paying shipping costs....does anyone know where I can buy a Kindergarten Nap Mat? Sunnyvale area - or Richardson/Plano.

Thanks!

What can I do next?

You know... my son, Grant just came home with a plain blue nap mat from kindergarten last year. I guess they had provided it at the beginning of the year and I just didn't realize it. You can HAVE it if you want. It is a material that can easily be sterilized although it's probably pretty clean now. E-mail me and let me know if you are ever in the Lake Highlands area and want to pick it up.

Just bought my kids the cutest (and comfy-cozy) nap mats at A Tiney Hiney kids boutique on Campbell Rd (near corner of Preston & Campbell, in shopping center, right next to the Hallmark there).

Hi Linda. There was a seller on ebay out of Plano that offered local pick-up. Hope that helps!

Walmart. I saw them when we did school supply shopping at the location of Spring Creek and Coit in Plano.

Wal Mart!!!
That's where we got ours, in the school supply area.

Mardel's has them year round. Walmart has them during school supply time.

Hey there!

I've got 2 extras right now. Both are gently used and are themes for little girls. One is princesses and the other is stars on a yellow/pink background. I'm in Garland-not too far from Richardson. Just a thought... Shipping wouldn't be much as they don't weigh much although the package might be bulky but I bet I could come up with a creative solution. *Grins*

Otherwise, you can look online at Pennies. Some Wal-marts carry plain plastic matts that have a lot of cushion but aren't very cuddly. I chose the ones I have because there is an attached pillow, and cover and it all rolls up and stays rolled with velcro tabs. Both have a strap attached that makes them easy to carry.

Shipping from stores is usually around $15 or more which rivals the retail price. I paid retail because I didn't know where else to get one when my first child started preschool. Once Upon A Child would be a place to look or JBF which is Just Between Friends and a sale of gently used tons of child related items... Try JBF.com or justbetweenfriends.com.

Good luck in finding what you need and if you're interested in either or both of mine do let me know and I'll do what I can to help you. Heck I'd sell both for $10. just because we don't need them now!

www.Staymybaby.com/nap_pack.html offers a pick up option when you order online. Also try the Market Place at Frisco Square- there is a good selection there and you can also have it embroidered.

It may be a little far south -- but I got an adorable one at Naturino at Preston and Royal. It is next to the Purple Cow.

You've had several replies, but I want you to know that I too have an extra one you can have. We bought one (from Target) for our daughter and THEN my MIL made her one with her name on it.

The one I have is NOT "cute" or fancy. It is a tri-fold blue one one side/purple on the other; wipeable fabric, nap mat.

We're in North Garland; near Firewheel Mall and it's yours if you want it.

Let me know - Suzi

Some of my friends have found them at JC Penny stores for around $20. They've been very pleased going this route. We got ours online from www.mynappak.com....very cute!

Have you thought about making one. I made my sons two years ago. He was (is) into dinosaurs so I bought everything I needed at WalMart (fabric, batting for quilts (two packages so it would be thick) and a small pillow). I added ties at one end so I could roll it up and tie it together for easy storage. He had the cutest nap mat at school.
I just measured out how long I wanted it to be (a little longer than my son)and bought enough fabric and batting. It took me about two days from start to finish. A very easy process.
