Dr. Julie Jensen in Naperville is wonderful. She delivered all 3 of mine and I always refer everyone I know to her. She can be reached at 630/369-7700. Their office is right next to Edward Hospital.
Good luck! Thanks, S.

Oh, Dr. Jensen works with Dr. Badowski who's wife, Dr. Janina Badowska (same building) is my pediatrician as well. Going to Dr. Jensen for over 10 years and the pediatrician for 7 years.

I work with a group who delivers out of Edward. It is the Dupage Health Specialists and it is a practice of all women. Each is great though Dr. Broomberger is the best. Please contact me if you would like more info. I reside in Bolingbrook and delivered out of Edward too. I am also a certified birth practitioner if you are interested in that too. Please feel free to contact me about any of the above; I would love to help in any way I can!

I'm sorry the one lady had a terrible experience but I don't go anywhere except Edwards. They even have an out patient center in Plainfield I went to for my ultra sounds and baby classes. My doctor was Dr. Audrey Bromberger and she and everyone in her group are on call at Edwards. It is with DuPage Healthspecialist. There are I think 4 or 5 doctors with her. They are in Lisle but I drive there from Romeoville. Their number is ###-###-####. Good luck!!

You can't go wrong with one of the OBs in the Dupage Medical Group. It is a large practice but all the doctors are truly terrific. I liked both Dr. Kagan and Dr. Frangella the best, but Dr. Joe Martin was very good as well. They do work with high-risk patients but the more specialized high-risk things like amniocentesis, level 2 ultrasounds, growth ultrasounds, etc. would be handled through Maternal Fetal Medicine office. The practice they refer high-risk patients is also through Edwards hospital.

I just finished with a high-risk pregnancy myself and Dr. Frangella delivered my baby girl on Jan. 11th.

They have several different offices to have your appointments. I liked the Rolling Ridge office best but any office is nice.

I see DR. Jensen, Dr. Druzak and Dr. Badowski. They are right next to Edward on Martin Ave. So close that they can literally jog over from their office to deliver a baby at the hospital. They are very busy- I mean very busy., but Dr. Druzak performed all 3 of my c sections and she was awesome, good luck. She also performed my tubal ligation at the birth of my third child if that's what you are referring to in your post.good luck

Edwards Hospital is excellent. I would NOT recommend Rush Copley in Aurora. My friend had a little boy there and got MRSA because the doctor didn't correctly sanitize the instruments used during circumsision. He just has MRSA on that area, so every boy that got circumsized there probably has it and doesn't know it. I delivered 2 out of 3 of my children with Dupage Medical Group in Naperville. Dr. Heimburger delivered my 1st and Dr. Kagan my 3rd. All are excellent and I highly recommend them! Good luck.

I went thru/still use the Womens Center for Health thru Edward Hospital (Naperville location). My doc was Dr. Carney, however I have seen every doctor there and liked them all. I was surprised to read about the not so good experience at Edwards Hospital. I delievered there and thought the nurses were fabulous, I have also used the ER for my little one once and I didn't have to wait at all and they had me in and out in no time. Good luck!

Dr. Chen/Carver out of Edward Hospital. I have been seeing them for 14 years and love all of them there!!! It is also nice because when it is time to deliver you know it is going to ALWAYS be on of the two drs instead of using a practice of 6 or 7 dr where you hardly get to know any of them.

I am also wondering how long ago the woman who spoke poorly about Edward was actually there. Edward is ranked top in the nation. . . their NICU is also award warning and they have recently finished a brand new mother/baby unit on the 4th floor. And I assure you, Rush doesn't have the Magnet award Status as Edward does. They are AWESOME. I am about to deliver my 4th baby there.

I also use DuPage Medical Group, Dr. Frangella. She looks like a kid, but is very good. One of their offices is in the Edward Medical Center buildings. Their practice has delivered all 3 of my kids and I am currently expecting #4. Also, I have delivered all at Edward and did not have a BAD experience. Good Luck.

I second the recommendation for Dupage Health Specialists in Lisle. My doctor is Dr Jennifer Dunn and I absolutley love her!! I've also seen all the doctors in the practice and they are all great. Dr Dunn delivered my first child almost four years ago at Edward Hospital and it was a great experience. My second child is due this spring and I will again be at Edward Hospital, hopefully with Dr Dunn!!

DuPage Health Specialists are located on Ogden Avenue and their phone number is ###-###-####.

I also went through the Women's Center and Dr. Anderson delivered my son. I cannot say enough good things about her. I was induced early due to preeclampsia and being my first child, plus the severity, I was scared. She was calming and so sweet and nice. Also, one time I went in for a checkup and saw Dr. Olson. He is hilarious. He had music playing throughout the office and had me laughing through my first internal exam. I know they have offices in Bolingbrook (on Weber by Clow), in Naperville (on Hobson), and in Plainfield.

Congratulations to you!! We also go to te Womens Center for Health. I had my son back in 10/2007 and we now have #2 on the way due this August. One of their locations is on 127th and Van Dyke. Their main location is in Naperville where you'd need to schedule an appointment for any of their locations. Hope this helps.

Hello - for the other ladies wondering.. TTC = trying to conceive!
I also highly recommend Dupage Medical Group. I met all the docs in the practice and really like them all - including Frangella, Martin, Phillippi, Kagen and Weeks and even the Nurse Practitioner Jackie Webster. They are all superb! I saw Frangella and Kagen the most, but Martin ended up delivering me via c-section and saw him for all my follow ups and really ended up liking him and Frangella the most. What the other person said about Dr. Martin being "real" is true - he is friendly, takes his time, and is just very good at what he does. When he explained why we need to do a c-section we felt very comfortable, totally trusted him and felt very confident in his abilities. Good luck to you!

I go to Naperville Women's Health Care in Naperville - delivered both of our children at Edward and had a great experience both times. There are 3 doctors in the practice and one midwife. All of them are FABULOUS! Their office is right next to the hospital. Phone:###-###-####

Also wanted to say, I saw someone had an issue with Edward, but it is an INCREDIBLE hospital. It was a wonderful place to have our children. The staff is excellent and there was not one thing I had any issues with during or after delivery. My son was in NICU for a very short time and they were so great. We are lucky to have such a great hospital close by. I hope one day Edward has a hospital in Plainfield. The only thing I would say is, if there is a situation where your child needs special tests - and this is probably also the case with the woman who had to take her child to the ER - I would take my child to CDH or Children's Memorial if special testing is needed later on. (Some of the pediatric doctors from Children's work at CDH also.) We had to have some tests done for my youngest when she was 5 months old and when the films and reports made it to our doc at Children's he was really unhappy with them and said it would have been handled better had they been done at a children's hospital to begin with. We had to redo the tests at Children's Memorial and they went A LOT smoother doing them at a pediatric hospital instead of at an "adult" hospital.

Having said that, as for having your baby there, I personally would ONLY go to Edward to deliver. As for having tests done (if that ever is the case) I would go to Children's Memorial or CDH where they specifically work with kids.

I was in the same boat not long ago. We are also new to the area. I had my son 9 mos ago and needed a new OBGYN (we moved from Georgia to Illinois). I went to see Dr. Joe Martin with Dupage Medical Group and absolutely LOVED him! He is so down to earth and "real". Does not beat around the bush and I felt so comfortable with him. Hope this helps!

I like my OB very much and he is out of Edward Hospital. Dr. Joe Martin. He has an office on the Edward campus as well as the RollingRidge office near Route 59 and 103rd just north of Plainfield. He's with DuPage Medical Group. Here's his link:

Hi K.:

Just wanted to give you a warning on Edwards. I had an emergency with my 6 month old and was forced due to proximity to go to Edwards. It was not a good experience. Just something small to give you how bad the experience was - - they don't put rocking chairs in the pediatrics emergency unit. So if your little one needs a little cuddle time and soothing and you are exhausted, be prepared to stand. I would recommend you look at Rush Copley. They have won national awards for their maternity / delivery etc. I had my second child there and I would go back in a heart beat! Just want to help make you experience pleasant because as you know its a very emotional life changing time in your life. Best of luck!

I had my first baby with Dr. Anderson with Women's Center for Health. She was great with delivering the baby. The first time I ever met her (and she was my primary) was when I delivered. I was happy with them until I had a miscarriage about 1 1/2 years after the first was born. I started bleeding while 6 weeks pregnant and called there answering service and they told me someone would call me within a half hour. No call. They paged someone again. No call. After about an hour, someone called back. That was a long time to wait when you are in that situation. So I switched to Dr. Chen and Dr. Carver. They are AWESOME! You actually see the docs and a doc actually called me back with my pap results!

I like Dr Pourtabib at 100 Spalding Drive, Naperville, IL (this is medical office actually connected to Edward hospital) with phone number of ###-###-####. His partner delivered all three of my kids and then retired.

Please know you are welcome at prenatal yoga in Naperville (3 classes a week at www.universalspirityoga.com).
